StrideBox is a subscription box for runners. You can find their own description of them at www.stridebox.com .
I have so far recieved three Strideboxes. I was given them for review. That’s my disclosure. I have no affiliate relationship with Stridebox and all my opinions are my own. Thank you to the kind folks at Stridebox for sending them to me to try out and I’m sorry for the delay in this review.
It’s fun to get a subscription box in the mail. It’s like getting a present. Stridebox normally costs $15 according to the website.
I made a goofy little video of me opening a recent StrideBox so here that is.
After recording this I ate the bag of honey coconut chips and they were delicious. Also – please note my fabulous pool net in the background there. It’s new. The old one served it’s final duty scraping Irma debris out of my pool.
And then a whole new StrideBox showed up. So the video was last months box and then the written review is the new box. Woohoo. So much stuff to talk about.
So here’s how it works. You sign up. The box comes in the mail.
You open up the box and inside is a post card with the details of the box and very nicely wrapped with tissue paper and a cute sticker.
So this box has 6 things in it. There is another box they offer which is Elite by StrideBox which apparently has clothes. I haven’t gotten that box. All of the products included have pricing and some have discounts but not all.
This Stridebox included the following things.
Redd Bar – Superfood energy bar. I haven’t tried it yet but this is a full size bar. Nice new product to try.
Skratch recovery mix – chocolate. Skratch is good stuff. I’m a fan of the folks who make this company. I have their cookbooks and I’ve tried a lot of their things. This I am excited to try actually.
Gu Energy S’mores Flavor. I love GU so this will go right into my nutrition drawer to be used on an upcoming long run.
ZipFizz – this is an energy drink tablet. I know people who use this it’s mostly caffeine and b-12. I haven’t tried it yet. That’s the good and bad about subscriptions. You get to try new things you wouldn’t have purchased yourself. It’s all good. Maybe some things are not a good fit but especially with nutrition it’s wonderful to not have to spend a lot on something you decide you don’t like.
Tiger Balm Pain Relief Patch and Ointment. These are samples and I’ll throw them in my drawer for the next time I have aches and pains to see what they do.
No Tangle Zipper Earbuds. These look pretty cool. I don’t wear earbuds when I run (I think it’s not safe but I’m an old lady) but I do use them on the bike trainer. And they are cute.
Last but not least there is a cute little sticker, and a post card with a recipe on one side and a workout from a coach on the other side.
And that’s Stridebox. A lot of thought and planning clearly goes into this and I can see that a new runner would really enjoy it. I have gotten 3 boxes and in each one is a product that I’ve enjoyed trying. It’s not expensive and I think it would make an excellent gift.
So there you go. Now here’s my question. Do you subscribe to any boxes like this and do you like them. Tell me all about it because I’m curious. I really am.
