This is a pretty common question so I’m going to go ahead and write down what I know. My kids and I did a lot of different places for lessons for them (and for me). I live in Miami – South of Downtown. These are definitely not the only options but these are the ones I personally have experience with.
Ocaquatics – Weekly lessons. My kids both took lessons here for years. From mommy and me up to starter swim team it’s a full program of lessons. I highly recommend this program.
Ann’s Swim School – for getting babies to swim these guys are the best. 10 straight days of lessons. It is a giant hassle to schedule but it really really works. I highly recommend this program. When my son fell in and got some water anxiety they spent 2 weeks getting him back into the water. They are kind and have decades of experience getting toddlers to swim.
JCC – Swim Gym. I will say this Robert Strauss knows more about learning to swim than anybody I have ever met. He’s a good guy.
Hurricane Aquatics – my children had great fun at their summer swim camps.
Gulliver Swim School – this did not exist when my kids were taking lessons. But it is the school that feeds into the team where my children swim. But full disclosure I don’t have actual experience with this school.
Total Immersion. Gary Fahey works with adults but he’s really in Davie. So sometimes he’ll come down if you can find a place to meet. It’s not a great solution but I have worked with him and he’s a great guy and really good instructor.
Gulliver Masters – some of these coaches will do lessons if they have time.
Ann’s Swimming School website says it offers adult lessons. I’ve never done adult lessons there but these folks are really good people.
